I love my new Espiritu Huarache sandals. They are very comfortable, easy to wear, and I receive a lot of compliments on them. They do take a moment to break in, but once they fit they fit good. I needed to size up after receiving my first pair; The exchange process was easy and accommodating.

I stumbled across Espiritu's stall at a local flea market and bought these on whim -- I wasn't necessarily in the market for new shoes but once I tried them on I knew I had to have them. They are incredibly comfortable and I can tell they were made with care and using quality materials that will only get more beautiful with age and wear.

Amazing! Like wearing leather socks

I purchased a pair of these at Artists & Fleas in LA. I was a little skeptical at first since the fit felt VERY tight and uncomfortable. But after a few wears these Huaraches were AMAZING. I wore them everywhere I could, and they eventually felt like leather socks. They are literally the most comfortable leather product I have ever worn on my feet. They lasted about 2 years through frequent and rough wear and tear, and I just ordered another pair.

I wore these with jeans, with shorts, and even wore them out in the summer with slacks and a blazer. For whatever reason, I get more compliments on these shoes than I do on my wingtips, monkstraps, or other cool/expensive shoes I own. People always want to know where I got them, and I send them right to the Espiritu website.

I recommend going true to size - understand they 100% WILL FEEL TIGHT at the start. Also know they 100% will loosen up and become irreplaceable. I could not give a higher recommendation, not to mention the cool people who make the shoes and run the company.

Ordered after seeing an article in the L.A. Times. Received my pair yesterday. I’m usually a 6/12 to 7, but following the guidelines on sizing ordered a 6. Opened up the box, thought “ohhhhh, these look nice”, thought maybe I would have to wear them around the house to stretch. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable! The craftsmanship is beautiful. If you’re on the fence, get ‘em. You won’t be disappointed.

Ignored by customer service

Sadly, I need to return these because they don't fit at all. Despite being within the return window, the site will not let me proceed with a return. Customer service ignoring emails. Would have liked to order again in another size, but this is now $100 wasted, especially annoying after a multi-month delay in shipment.

Beautiful shoes but I really wish they made half sizes

I'm usually between a 7.5 and an 8, and I initially ordered the 8s and they were a tiny bit loose, so I returned them and got the 7s instead. They definitely felt too tight when I first put them on but I decided to try to break them in. I have now been wearing them regularly for over a month and they are still a bit too tight - they're wearable but there is pinching at my toes that gets pretty uncomfortable after a couple of hours. It's a bummer because otherwise I love them, they are gorgeously made, high quality shoes and I plan on keeping them for a long time.

For huarache sizing we use whole numbers, so we recommend rounding down (i.e. if you’re a 9.5 get a 9).

Our leather and designs are made to stretch and mold around your feet to perfectly hug them for a snug fit.
